I can truly understand where you are.  After leaving IBM after 28 years I had a small mfg. company for 12 and one has to be realistic as to where you put development dollars.  Just as a little background, before joining IBM I received 2 engineering degrees, ME and IE, was in the US Navy for 3 years.  I love the sea, and that is why I am infatuated with the Constitution.
 
I have to really comment you on your kit.  Ben Lankford did a excellent job, and appears to be really complete.  My initial research indicates that the modification to what she looked like in the 1812-815 time frame appears minimal.  What I would like to propose is I will document all the changes I find and will send them to you for your use.  I plan to write the Navy as to exactly what will happen during her next overhaul.
