Revell - DE HAVILLAND MOSQUITO MK.IV 1/32 Scale

This is the classic Revell 1/32 scale model of the De Havilland Mosquito Mk.IV - Revell 04758. The Mosquito was the fastest bomber in the RAF during WWII. Over 5,500 were produced and it served in the RAF well after WWII. The lightweight construction and twin Merlin engines gave the airplane its exceptional speed. Instead of aluminum, wood was used for the basic construction and the outer coating. These aircraft could carry up to four 500 lb (230 kg) bombs. The B Mk IV started operations in May 1942 with 105th Squadron. The success of the Mosquito was so great, the Germans began work on their own "Moskito", the Ta-154. The kit consists of 82 parts.
