Revell Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II Model Set – 1:72 Scale Model Kit

Discover the technology behind modern stealth aviation with the Revell Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II Model Set. This detailed 1:72 scale plastic model kit recreates one of the world's most advanced fifth-generation multirole combat aircraft, combining an angular stealth design, advanced weapons systems, and authentic markings. With 143 parts and essential modeling accessories included, this set offers an engaging project for aviation enthusiasts and experienced model builders alike.

The Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II – A New Generation of Air Power

Developed by Lockheed Martin, the F-35 Lightning II was designed to combine stealth technology, advanced sensors, electronic warfare systems, and precision-strike capabilities in a single aircraft. Its low-observable design helps reduce its radar signature, while its sophisticated avionics allow pilots to gather, process, and share information across the battlefield.

The F-35A is the conventional takeoff and landing variant of the Lightning II family, designed primarily for air forces. Unlike the F-35B, which features short takeoff and vertical landing capabilities, and the carrier-based F-35C, the F-35A uses a conventional runway configuration. Its versatility allows it to perform air-to-air combat, precision strikes, reconnaissance, and other demanding missions.

Operated by the United States and several international partners, the F-35A has become an important component of modern air power. Its combination of stealth, sensor fusion, and precision weapons represents a significant evolution in combat aircraft design.

Detailed 1:72 Scale Model

This Revell kit captures the distinctive appearance of the F-35A, including its angular fuselage, blended wings, twin outward-canted vertical stabilizers, and carefully reproduced external details. The model's proportions and surface features reflect the aircraft's unique stealth-oriented design.

The kit includes a detailed cockpit and a selection of modern air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. The available armament includes JDAM precision-guided bombs, Paveway II laser-guided bombs, AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles, and AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles, allowing the aircraft to be displayed in a variety of operational configurations.

Additional components include FOD covers and a pilot ladder, adding extra detail to the finished display model. With 143 parts, the kit provides a rewarding building experience for modelers who enjoy assembling modern military aircraft.

Authentic Markings and Aircraft Options

The included decal sheet offers three authentic aircraft schemes, representing F-35A operators in the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands.

• Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II, serial number 19-5495 – Flagship of the 495th Fighter Squadron “Valkyries,” 48th Fighter Wing, United States Air Force, RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom.

• Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II, serial number 35+01 – Tactical Air Force Squadron 33, German Air Force (Luftwaffe), Büchel Air Base, Germany.

• Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II, serial number F-026 – 313 Squadron, Royal Netherlands Air Force, Volkel Air Base, Netherlands.

These three options allow modelers to choose between different national markings and squadron identities, making the finished aircraft a distinctive addition to a modern military aviation collection.
